A special encounter with a special author! Maurizio de Giovanni arrives at the Picentia Short Film Festival 2023! From his pen have come to life stories and characters that became famous in the collective imagination, first on paper, then on screen. Among the most beloved RAI series we recall "I bastardi di Pizzofalcone", "Mina Settembre", "Il Commissario Ricciardi". Maurizio De Giovanni has also written for theatre and created original texts including "Il silenzio grande", from which the film directed by Alessandro Gassmann was adapted. He is part of the group of writers who run a writing workshop with young inmates at the Nisida Juvenile Detention Centre. In July 2020 he was appointed President of the Scientific Committee for the Safeguarding and Promotion of the Neapolitan Linguistic Heritage by the Campania Regional Council.
