Vittorio Storaro is one of the greatest cinematographers in the history of world cinema. Winner of three Academy Awards for "Apocalypse Now" (1979), "Reds" (1981), and "The Last Emperor" (1987), he has collaborated with legendary directors such as Bernardo Bertolucci, Francis Ford Coppola, Woody Allen, and Warren Beatty. His stylistic signature is based on a philosophical and chromatic study of light, which he defines as "writing with light".
